buenolo que quiero es saver como puedo hacer para extraer la primer imagen que se en cuentra en un post

es para hacer un bloque y todo el contenido se guarda en una bariable

ejemplo;  $news['body']

desdeya muchas gracias porsu ayuda

PD: estaba pensando en la funcion preg_match() de php
